Jigsaws - floor and table

Jigsaws - floor and table

Sometimes table jigsaws with less pieces are trickier than large floor puzzles with more pieces.
Have a try - what do you think?

Peg numbers and patterns
We are counting the number of pegs accurately to match the numbers.  We can also make repeating patterns with the pegs:-

green, green, yellow............................

Reading area

We looked at story books and non-fiction books.  We like the book Squash the Spider, Chloe and Charlie are really good at spotting the spider.  This week we read the story of The Three Little Pigs, another traditional fairy tale like Jack and the Beanstalk we read and performed last week............can you think of any more?

Family Learning

Firstly our parents discussed and learnt more about confident communication and how to help us.
We did lots of small world play with our parents.
We had lots of fun mixing and making coloured salt dough.

This week we have been looking at the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.
We then made masks and retold the story to our friends.
We are great actors and actresses. Make sure you ask us about our performances.

We have been thinking about things that use electricity and have made a list of things that use batteries.
Can you think of all the things in your house that use batteries? Lots of our toys do.

We have made a learning tree.  To start we are thinking how we can build our learning power and develop into  resillient learners.  Look out for our tree in the Nursery and watch this space for more about it.

Parachutes and Pancakes!

This week we have been very busy in the nursery!  As we are on our half term holidays for Shrove Tuesday, we decided to make our own pancakes to celebrate Pancake Day.

First we made the pancakes...

...and then we ate them for our snack! They were delicious!

We played some parachute games during our P.E session on Thursday.

Jayden was the cat in our 'cat and mouse' game.

Molly held the parachute up in the middle so that it turned into a tent for us all to sit underneath! A very important job!

Have a brilliant half term and we are looking forward to seeing everyone after the holidays!
